After a 30+ year career as a mechanical design and nuclear engineer, Dan (my dad) transferred his talent to the design and construction of historic ships. The 30 ships in this collection have been built during a 12 year period.  The build time for the ships varied from 2 months up to 6 months for the larger ships.  The majority of the larger ships are designed for pond sailing while the smaller ships were built only for display.

They are so beautiful, we built them a web site. Enjoy!

This photo shows the British HMS Victory and the HMS Bellerophon as they would have looked in October 1805 prior to the Battle of Trafalgar.  HMS Victory was a 104 gun ship of the line while HMS Bellerophon was the standard 74 gun ship of the line of the British navy.  The Victory was Admiral Nelson’s command ship at Trafalgar while Bellerophon was instrumental in the defeat of the French ship L’Orient at the previous Battle of the Nile.  Both ships were heavily engaged in the Battle or Trafalgar on October 21, 1805.
